Barnes Rock organises live music events in South West London.

Dance to popular rock, pop, soul and blues numbers played by well known rock stars from the 60s, 70s and 80s and local musicians and their bands.
The regular Barnes Rock band is the 60s Allstars. Band members include John Dee and Alan Warner guitarists from the Foundations, Mick Avory, drummer from the Kinks, Alan Lovell, guitarist from The Swinging Blue Jeans and Del Mandel, guitarist from the George Harrison Band.

There are guest appearances from other artists, notably vocalist Phil May from the Pretty Things.

We also run Rock nights with the incomparable Robin Bibi band with guest singer appearances by well-known rock stars of the 60’s and 70’s, including John Dominic with lead guitarist Darryl West of the Bo Street Runners and Frank Aiello of Cosy Powell/Bedlam. The outstanding John Warwick, one of the best blues singers you could ever see, often joins us to sing with the band in an informal atmosphere. Accomplished local musicians also come along to enjoy the incredible experience of playing with Robin Bibi who has played with and is respected by the best.

Barnes Rock venues are Barnes Rugby Club, near the Wetlands Centre, with midweek events usually on a Wednesday, and the The Home Guard Club in Sheen, where events are generally held on Tuesdays.

At both Barnes RFC and The Home Guard in the winter months, we also stage events starting late Sunday afternoon and continuing till about 9pm, ideal for shaking off a late Sunday lunch, but not getting home too late before work on a Monday!

If you enjoy dancing, you cannot beat the excitement of a live band. Everyone dances at Barnes Rock events with a great mixture of styles such as Rock ‘n’ Roll, Ceroc and just good old ‘bopping’!
